The closures are from Exit 9 (Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow/Route 9) and across the Tappan Zee Bridge to Exit 10 (Nyack/South Nyack/Route 9W) beginning on Friday.

As work continues at and around the bridge, lane closures will extend through Thursday, April 27.

On Friday, April 21, one lane will be closed beginning at 9 p.m. on the northbound and westbound Tappan Zee Bridge. An additional lane will be closed each hour until three right lanes are shut down beginning at 11 p.m. The closures are scheduled to end between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. the following day.

Next week each day, beginning at 8 p.m., two right lanes will be closed southbound and eastbound on the Thruway from exit 12 to the bridge. Three lanes will be closed beginning at 11 p.m., with the closures ending at 5 a.m. the next day.

At least one lane will remain open at all times during construction.

During the closures, crews are expected to continue working on overhead cashless tolling equipment in Rockland County, installing concrete noise barrier panels and pouring concrete for the New York State Thruway Authority’s new maintenance dock.
