Fairfield County resident Craig A. Kropa, 39, of New Fairfield, was arrested following an investigation into a public lewdness complaint in the Putnam Lake area of the Town of Patterson, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced on Friday, June 12.

A Connecticut man who admitted to killing his estranged wife, a well-loved business owner and mother of three, has been arrested, police said. He also attempted suicide after the attack, but failed.
Leon Stetson, 67, was arrested Thursday, June 12, and charged with murder, home invasion, and violation of a protective order in the death of Carrie Stetson, 54, Connecticut State Police said.
Police were called to Carrie Stetson's Oak Street home in Winchester at about 9:41 p.m. Monday, June 8, after a witness reported seeing blood inside the house.
