As of Tuesday, June 23, dog owners in West Hartford must keep their pets on a leash while on all town-owned property, as the Town Council unanimously adopted a townwide leash ordinance at its meeting. The ordinance expands the town's previous leash requirement, which applied only in parks and other public spaces.
