Kent Library Offers Babysitting Class

KENT LAKES, N.Y. -- The Kent Public Library will host a Babysitting Workshop on Saturday in the library's program room.

Students will learn interviewing tips, communication skills, ages and stages of young babies and toddlers, safety and first aid tips, and feeding and caring for children.

In this introduction to babysitting course, students will learn interviewing tips, communication skills, ages and stages of young babies and toddlers, safety and first aid tips, and feeding and caring for children.

A simple test will be administered at the completion of the course and certificates will be distributed.

Class instructor Amanda Tucker holds degrees in special education, early education and child psychology.

Students should bring a notebook, pen and a lunch with them. This workshop is for people ages 10 and older.

The class will be from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
