Kent Library Screens 'Cool Runnings'

KENT LAKES, N.Y. -- The Kent Public Library will screen the 1993 family film "Cool Runnings" Friday as part of the library's summer Movie Matinee Fridays program.

"Cool Runnings" is the story of a Jamaican sprinter who is disqualified from the Olympic Games, and enlists the help of a dishonored coach to start the first Jamaican bobsled team.

The PG-rated film stars John Candy, Leon and Doug E Doug. Popcorn will be served at the screening. The screening is from 1 - 3 p.m.

The library is at 17 Sybil's Crossing, Kent Lakes.
