Putnam County 4-H Fair Will Feature Music, Dancing, Games, Exhibits

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Cornell Cooperative Extension will host a three-day weekend of fun at its 4-H fair, which features local musicians, dancers, games, crafts and animal exhibits, from Friday, July 25, through Sunday, July 27.

The fair will be held at Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park, Gipsy Trail Road, Kent.

There will be a variety of activities throughout the weekend, including local artist performances, photography, quilts, baked goods, vegetables and crafts that can be entered in the big exhibit building, a plant sale, magic shows and an auction on Saturday, July 26, at 3 p.m., featuring tools, paintings, antique farm equipment, patio furniture and more. 

In addition, there will be pet shows, food, face painting, games, Civil War and Revolutionary War encampments, Putnam history displays, horse demonstrations, chicken barbecue, fishing contests and more. Only dogs pre-registered for the dog show are allowed on the fairgrounds.
