Healy's Corner Restaurant & Bar, 474 NY-52, Carmel, (845) 306-7087
Years in Business: Four and a half
Number of Burgers Offered: 13, along with a special monthly burger option.
Most Popular: The Big Boy Burger (10 ounce burger topped with American, Muenster and Swiss cheese, carmelized onions, coleslaw and bacon) and the Grilled Cheesebruger (classic burger wedged between two grilled cheese sandwiches).
Secret "Sauce" Behind Burger's Flavor: Good quality meat. "That is first and foremost in importance," said Owner Ryan Healy.
Worth Special Mention: The "Burger of the Month," introduced earlier this year, is something that's "totally outrageous and off the wall" that the restaurant only showcases for the month, according to Healy.
Last month the burger was topped with a homemade strawberry jalapeno jam that came from Healy's personal garden, and was topped with frizzled onions and melted brie cheese on a brioche bun. July is the "All American BBQ Burger," featuring housemade pulled pork, bourbon glazed onions, and American cheese.
The restaurant also features a "build your own burger" option. Healy's also offers a gluten-free burger.
