Who Has Putnam's Best Ice Cream?

The Scoop: Expect a host of flavors -- and various combinations here, something for everyone (including non-dairy), soft serve, and homemade flavors. Some favs: Strawberry cheesecake, Oreo cookie, peanut butter, vanilla fudge and mango coconut. Other attention grabbers include Blue Goo (Cotton Candy), Green Slime (green apple), Pistachio Nut and Banana Ripple.
Owners Patty and Jim Turco opened this little slice of heaven at the end of March and have been overwhelmed by the community support. Patty said her parents owned an ice cream shop when she was a kid (third grade!) and had always had a dream of owning her own place (she worked there when she was younger). Later in life, she and Jim did just that.
Now they make their own ice cream and Italian ices and rotate most flavors. Red hot is espresso coffee which is hard to keep up with demand. On a given day, expect about 10 flavors of cream and Italian ice, about 17 soft serve flavors and 15 homemade options.
