Sauro's Town Square Pizza Cafe, Patterson

What Makes It Good: Family owned and operated, this cafe puts a lot of love into its pizzas. In fact, each month a portion of all pie purchases goes to support a different local charity. Its website, in fact, stresses the importance of being a good neighbor and a positive influence. April is Children's Advocacy Center of Putnam County. 

Then there's the food, with its array of specialty pies -- think chicken, bacon and ranch, fig & prosciutto, penne vodka and pollo pesto -- as well as gluten-free pizza and Sicilian.
