What Makes It A Cut Above: More of a pub than a steakhouse, The Carriage House prides itself on being a casual family-friendly place where mom and pop can get a good skirt steak or au poivre burger -- and junior can have chicken fingers or mac ‘n’ cheese -- without having to dress up … or break the bank.
Located in an old log cabin, its rustic interior sports a large fireplace where folks can nosh on bar grub such as spicy fried pickles, firecracker shrimp and truffle chips while they down one of its many microbrews. Beef makes its way into many sandwiches, too. On the menu are: short rib grilled cheese (braised short rib, smoked Gouda cheese, multi-grain toast); Black & Tan Steak Sandwich (skirt steak, house-made black & tan sauce, sharp cheddar cheese, frizzled onions) and horseradish steak ciabatta (skirt steak, horseradish sour cream, shaved Parmesan cheese, onion and mixed greens).
