We asked for your favorites; four have been narrowed down as part of our contest and those finalists are being profiled this week.

Voting continues until 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.

Mario's Restaurant & Pizza, 225 Route 6, Mahopac, (845) 621-225

What Makes It Pasta Perfect: Open since 1989, Mario's is known for its extensive pasta dishes - think manicotti, eggplant parm, fettuccine alfredo, and gnochi rustico -- as well as its seafood dishes. Yelpers rave about its great family environment, excellent sauces, and nice-size portions.

Worth Special Mention: The wood-fired pizza, offered both on site and now via a mobile wood-fired pizza and catering service gets rave reviews as does its catering service..
