What Makes It A Cut Above: Opened in 2013, just off the Taconic Parkway, Char is known for its well-cooked steaks, crispy, apricot-glazed duck and braised, boneless short ribs. Yelp reviewers praise the size of the portions and a “Create-your-own” steak with a choice of sauces -- ranging from Gorgonzola cheese and béarnaise to a Chianti red wine reduction and piquant – as well as starches and greens. Many also credit the attentive staff to making their visits enjoyable.
