A caller claiming to be “reactivated army intelligence” threatened to destroy Pennsylvania and execute its residents in a voicemail left for Gov. Josh Shapiro’s office, state police announced on Wednesday, Sept. 9. The threatening message reached the governor’s main office line at the State Capitol in Harrisburg around 1:48 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police. A New Bedford family grieving the loss of a 21-year-old motorcycle rider is receiving help from people determined to take his body home to bury him. Anthony Navarro Rodriguez died Sunday, Sept. 6, two days after she suffered severe injuries in a New Bedford motorcycle crash around 10 p.m. at the Walnut and South Sixth Street intersection, police said. A Framingham driver faces several charges after police said he struck a pedestrian with his pickup truck and fled on foot.
