Lowell Mourns Sudden Death Of Elementary Teacher: 'She Embraced Life With Passion'
A Massachusetts community is mourning the sudden death of a 35-year-old teacher who died unexpectedly over the weekend.
Ashley Figueroa, a fifth-grade teacher at Lowell Collegiate Charter School, died Saturday, Dec. 20. Loved ones have not released a cause of death.
One of 10 children, Figueroa leaves behind a large family, including brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
A GoFundMe campaign was created to support her family as they cope with her death and related expenses. The fundraiser has raised more than $5,000 of its $8,000 goal from 61 donors.

A 16-year-old Massachusetts girl who died in a crash last week is being remembered as a witty, loving sister who always had her brothers in tow.
Brielle Mae Rose and her boyfriend, 15-year-old Cameren Gutter, both of Fall River, were killed in a car wreck around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20. She would have turned 17 next month.
“She was a witty, sassy girl who also loved to tease, was quick with humor, and loved to hassle her kid brothers, but you'd always see her carrying them around and with them in tow,” loved ones said, her obituary said.

Police ID Retired Revere Officer, Marines As Man Who Died In Fire: 'We Will Miss Him Immensely'
A respected veteran, longtime police officer, father, and grandfather died in a house fire that tore through his home on Washington Avenue in Revere earlier this week, officials said.
Richard Serino, 77, was killed when flames engulfed part of his multi-family home on Tuesday, June 17, authorities said.
Serino was a retired Revere police officer with decades on the force. He served in the Marines before joining the police department.
