A wrong-way, drunken Massachusetts driver struck a 90-year-old man's pickup truck head-on on the New York State Thruway before a tractor-trailer overturned trying to avoid the wreck, police said.
David Thomas Russell, 24, of Westfield, MA, was driving a 2021 Ford pickup northbound in the southbound lanes when he struck a 2025 Ford pickup driven by a 90-year-old Glens Falls man head-on, at approximately 4:40 a.m., on the southbound side of Interstate 87 near Exit 21A in Coeymans, NYSP said.

Two men attempting to meet underage girls for sex have been arrested in New York, according to state police.
Edwin Antonio Sabillon Jr., 24, of West Babylon, NY, and Anik Conley-Das, 36 of Norwood, MA, were busted in an undercover operation, New York State Police said.
The two men were “attempting to sexually exploit children online” but instead interacted with undercover officers based in state police barracks on Long Island, authorities said.

Woman Dead After Being Crushed In Nantucket Parking Lot Crash: Police
A Long Island woman has died following a car crash in a parking lot on Nantucket in Massachusetts, authorities said.
Stacey J. Rosen, 62, of Atlantic Beach, was walking through a parking lot outside a Stop & Shop grocery store in downtown Nantucket on Monday, June 29 when she was struck, the local police department said.
Rosen died later from her injuries, the Nantucket Police Department announced Friday, July 10.
