Auto Body Shop In Patterson Helps SPCA's Used Crown Victoria Look New

Thanks to the generosity of a Patterson body shop, the Putnam County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has a shiny "new" used vehicle to use in their effort to help animals across the county.

The organization, a non-for-profit charity that receives minimal funding from town and county government, recently purchased a used 2008 Ford Crown Victoria in hopes of using it to supplement their current 2004, Crown Victoria with over 185,000 miles, SPCA officials said.

The “new” used vehicle had several challenges to overcome. Its mileage was over 115,000 miles, needed some mechanical work but was also rusting, with peeling paint. If that was not enough, half the car was blue and the rest white.

The challenge was to find a business willing to donate their time and expertise to paint the vehicle white.

The organization was able to find the miracle they had been looking for when Stan’s Autobody on Route 22 in Patterson came to the rescue and took care of the rust spots and repainted the entire vehicle.
