Early voting is already underway in some states. In New Jersey, early voting begins on Saturday, Oct. 26 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 3. A 47-year-old Brooklyn, NY man is facing charges out of Hudson County for an incident that unfolded when he was asked to stop smoking at a hospital, police said. Josh Garner was approached by a security guard at Hudson Regional Hospital at 55 Meadowlands Parkway in Secaucus around 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. Who Stole $1,000 Worth Of Booze From Bergen County Bottle King?
Police are investigating the theft of more than $1,000 in alcohol from a Bergen County Bottle King store. Glen Rock officers were called to the Bottle King on Prospect Street around 8:50 p.m. on Oct. 16 on reports that a male went into the store with a shopping cart, loaded $1,020.47 into the cart, then wheeled it out without paying, police said. The man's identity is unknown and Glen Rock detectives are investigating.

A 22-year-old River Edge man was arrested and charged with distributing and possessing child pornography on Friday, Oct. 18, authorities said. A 27-year-old Denville man was arrested and charged after he struck a police officer while fleeing on Sunday, Oct. 20, authorities said. While officers were conducting a traffic stop on Indian Road, it was discovered the driver, Liam Harrigan, had an active NCIC Warrant out of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office, Denville police said.
