Carmel HS Grad Matuskovic Shot, Killed In Line Of Duty In South Carolina

CARMEL, N,Y. -- Joe Matuskovic, a 1990 graduate of Carmel High School who was a sheriff's deputy in South Carolina, was shot and killed Tuesday night after responding to an apartment complex disturbance in North Chaleston, S.C., according to LoHud.com.

The 43-year-old Matuskovic was shot by a man identified as Michael Oswald, who reportedly was banging on doors before he returned to his unit, where he fired the shots, according to the report.
