Carmel Sex Offender Moves Away From Victim After Settlement

CARMEL, N.Y. -- A Carmel sex offender who was allowed by the courts to move in next door to one of his victims has moved a few miles away to Mahopac, according to LoHud.com.

Mario Caruso, convicted sex offender in Carmel, has agreed to a settlement that will make him move away from one of his victims.

Mario Caruso, 64, agreed to relocate as part of a settlement with the now 20-year-old victim.

The 5-foot-6, 260-pound Caruso sexually assaulted his victim when she was 8 years old, as well as her friend, who was 9, LoHud.com reported.
