Garrison School District Budget Passes

GARRISON, N.Y. -- The Garrison School District's 2015-2016 budget was approved by voters Tuesday.

The $10.2 million budget passed 1,242 votes to 549 votes. The budget carries a 1.5 percent spending increase and a 2 percent tax levy increase. Philipstown residents will see a 2.1 percent tax increase while Putnam Valley residents will see a 2.3 percent tax increase.

Incumbent Raymond J. O'Rourke, James Scott Hoch and David Gelber ran unopposed for seats on the Board of Education.
