Health Quest Appoints Putnam Hospital Center President

CARMEL, N.Y. -- Peter Kelly has joined Health Quest as the president of Putnam Hospital Center, replacing James Caldas, who held the position for two-and-a-half years.

Putnam Hospital Center is a 164-bed, acute care hospital that provides medical, surgical, psychiatric and 24/7 emergency services. As the only hospital in Putnam County, Putnam Hospital Center has been serving the needs of Putnam, northern Westchester and southern Dutchess counties since 1964.

Kelly has more than 30 years of experience in health care. Most recently, he served as senior adviser of external affairs for CarePoint Health system in Hudson County, New Jersey. Prior to that, Kelly was president and chief executive officer of Christ Hospital in Jersey City, from 2005-14.

Kelly's extensive career in healthcare also includes serving as chief operating officer of Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan and as president and chief executive officer for Continuum Health Partners Inc. He has a bachelor's degree from St. Bonaventure University and a master's in healthcare administration from Long Island University.
