POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Hundreds took to the streets Saturday in protest of what organizers described as the Trump administration’s “xenophobia, homophobia and Islamophobia."

The rally outside the Dutchess County Courthouse focused on immigration and the recently reported “travel ban,” but also included chants of “Black Lives Matter,” and featured signs about reproductive rights, according to the Journal, which reported that the rally was organized by the Mid-Hudson Refugee Solidarity Alliance.

The event’s Facebook page said the rally was to serve as a “call to action directed at local legislators.”
