One resident said her tax bill increased by $2,000 due to the new sewer fees. She said she has a septic system and has no need to be linked to the sewer system, the Putnam County Examiner said.

The Town Board is expected to decide whether to allow residents to opt out of the new sewer district in the coming weeks, the Putnam County Examiner reported.
