Mahopac Father Found Guilty After Altercation With Lacrosse Coach

CARMEL, N. Y. -- Carmel Town Justice Thomas J. Jacobellis found a 47-year-old Mahopac man guilty of mischief and harassment following an altercation with the Mahopac girls lacrosse coach after the man's daughter was cut from the varsity team, lohud.com reports.

Alfonso DiFusco Jr. was acquitted of the misdemeanor assault charge stemming from the March 13 incident. Sentencing is set for May 3, lohud.com said.

He could face up to 90 days in jail or a fine. The argument occurred in the parking lot outside Mahopac High School between the two men, and was witnessed by several people, lohud.com reports.
