Man Charged With DWI After Crash In Patterson

PATTERSON, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Brewster barracks charged a Connecticut man with aggravated driving while intoxicated following an accident at the intersection of Routes 22 and 311 on Wednesday.

Richard J. Seyfried Jr., 52, was allegedly traveling north on Route 22 when his car crashed into an earth embankment. Troopers who arrived on the scene suspected Seyfried of being intoxicated, police said.

Seyfried supplied police with a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.21 percent. He was arrested and ordered to appear in Patterson Town Court on Monday, Feb. 2, police said.
