The club donated $1,500 to the Daisy Jopling Foundation and Gullotta House gave $600 so 85 children can attend the classic/rock violinist’s holiday concert Sunday, Dec. 7, at Paramount Hudson Valley in Peekskill.
Gullotta House is a nonprofit organization that aids needy individuals and families. It is headed by Ossining resident Matthew Gullotta.
“The generosity of the Peekskill Rotary Club and the Gullotta House is overwhelming and will benefit so many children,” said Jopling, a Rotarian and Peekskill resident.
“The gift of music changed my life and gave me the opportunity to travel the world. On my recent concert tour in China, I saw how music builds bridges and unites diverse cultures, so we are seeking other donations so that more children can experience a live musical performance,” Jopling said.
Donors interested in purchasing blocks of tickets so more children can see the concert are encouraged to contact Chereese Jervis-Hill, Events To Remember, at EventsCJH@EventsRemember.com or by calling (914) 218-3968.
