GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- A power outage in parts of the Town of Greenburgh briefly impacted polling places in Hartsdale early Tuesday as well as traffic lights on Central Avenue.

Greenburgh Supervisor Paul Feiner said he contacted Con Edison.

"Hopefully, power will be back soon," Feiner said at 7:37 a.m.

By 8:22 a.m., Feiner reported power was back on at the Hartdale Fire House, where voting was interrupted.

The power was only out for a few minutes at Hartsdale Fire Station #1 polling place on South Central Avenue,  according to Deputy Chief F. J. Spinelli.

The Town Clerks office had been advised that the power was off, but the outage was only for a short time, Feiner said.

Power had not been restored in other parts of Hartsdale and Edgemont on White Oak Lane. Con Edison promised Feiner that everyone's electricity should be restored by 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Traffic lights were jreported out along Central Avenue from Marion to Ardsley Road. Town police were on the scene trying to help.

Feiner said he will ask Con Edison why power keeps going out in Edgemont and Hartsdale. Power went out on Sunday for a few hours. In recent months, Feiner said he has received other complaints of short power outages.

"I think that Con Ed should conduct an inspection," the town supervisor said in an email. "I asked that they take a look at the infrastructure in the area and try analyzing why this keeps happening. ... Hopefully, we will be able to enjoy a warm, less stressful winter without having to worry about power outages!"
