Putnam Valley Artist Receives Letter From Archbishop Dolan

PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- Putnam Valley artist Suzanne Mancuso recently received a letter from New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan commending her on her art mural that took more than five years to create.

To date, there are more than 2,000 holy buildings painted and included in this life-sized art mural.The highlight of the project the depiction of nearly 1,000 of greater New York's religious establishments.

"It's an absolutely wonderful display because it shows the diversity of settings of faith throughout the whole state of New York," Father Thomas Orians, director of Graymoor Spiritual Life Center, said in a statement. "It captures the cultural diversity and history of our area if anyone wishes to see what 2,000 holy buildings look like."
