Six Charged With Promoting Prostitution In Fishkill, State Police Announce

FISHKILL, N.Y. -- New York State Police, Village of Fishkill Police and the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office teamed up and charged six women with promoting prostitution in the Village of Fishkill on Friday, Jan. 9, according to officials.

Nichole Wheeler, 34, and Fredericka Dillard, 35, of Newburgh; Chrystel Yager, 36, of Poughkeepsie; Alexa Garrafa, 21, of Troy; Kelsey Reedy, 36, of Slingerlands; and Edith Massie, 49, of Philadelphia were allegedly advertising on the website, backpage.com, and offering sexual favors in exchange for money, police said. 

All six women were charged with fourth-degree promoting prostitution and are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 23, police said. 

Wheeler had an active bench warrant out for her arrest and was subsequently turned over to the Wallkill Police Department, officials said.
