The Statford family of Victoria Soto, a teacher who was one of 26 people killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, criticized Trump for his association with the Rev. Carl Gallups of Florida, the Post said.
Gallups, who led the invocation at a Trump rally in January, has questioned whether grieving parents of Sandy Hook students are really actors, the CT Post says.
Trump's campaign says they weren't aware of the conspiracy theories floated by Gallups, and adds that Trump does not support them, the Post says. This comes on the heels of continuing criticism that Trump did not act quickly enough to distance himself from David Duke, a well-known former leader of the Ku Klux Klan.
