Brewster Man Charged With DWI After Erratic Driving Stop

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. - A Brewster man was arrested for DWI on June 29, after Kent Police received several calls for a vehicle driving erratically along Route 52 and Route 311, Kent Police said.

Sgt. Alex VanderWoude was able to locate Michael Hickey, 62, and stop him on Route 311 near Ludington Court, said Kent Police Chief Alex Divernieri.

An investigation determined that he was driving under the influence and he was arrested and charged with DWI, police said.

 Hickey was later released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
