At approximately 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, officers were on patrol on Route 6 when they spotted a driver - later identified as 26-year-old Brewster resident Richard Lennox - operating his car with no front license plate.

According to police, during the subsequent traffic stop, officers determined that Lennox’s vehicle was uninspected, unregistered, had improper plates, an inadequate tail lamp and he was driving without a license.

Following further investigation, it was determined that Lennox had an active bench warrant for failure to appear at Yorktown Justice Court last December. He also allegedly has bench warrants for his arrest by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and White Plains Police Department.

Lennox was arrested and charged with failure to appear in court. He was also issued several traffic infractions. Lennox was processed and is currently being held pending his arraignment, which was scheduled for Wednesday.
