Brewster Motorist With Teen In Car Charged With DWI Under Leandra's Law

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. - A 55-year-old Putnam woman was arrested over the weekend after being busted driving under the influence with her teenage daughter in the car.

On Saturday, New York State Police out of Brewster stopped Southeast resident Alam Gosney-Pink on Route 22 for failure to maintain her designated lane of travel on Saturday.

During the subsequent investigation, troopers reported that Gosney-Pink was found to be intoxicated at the time of her stop, and her 15-year-old daughter was a passenger in the vehicle. A breath sample determined that Gosney-Pink’s blood alcohol content was .10, exceeding the legal limit

Gosney-Pink was charged with a felony count of aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandra’s Law because her daughter was in the car. She was issued traffic tickets and is due back in Town of Southeast Court on Tuesday, June 20.
