Cold Spring Man, 31, Charged With Drug Possession

FISHKILL, N.Y. -- New York state troopers from the Wappinger barracks have charged a 31-year-old resident of Cold Spring with possession of cocaine and marijuana, police said.

A man identified as Michael T. Prescott was stopped by police for failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign on Friday, according to officials.

Following an investigation, Prescott was allegedly found to possess cocaine and marijuana, police report.

Prescott was arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, police report.

He was issued appearance tickets directing him to appear before the Fishkill Village Court on Monday, Feb. 22, according to officials.
