Four Store Clerks Charged In Underage Drinking Initiative

Store clerks from four businesses were charged with selling alcoholic beverages to an undercover state police operative in a detail held in Dutchess County.

The detail was held in the towns of Hyde Park and Poughkeepsie on Saturday, Sept. 1.

Fourteen additional establishments were checked and found to be in compliance.

The four businesses and clerks charged are:

Valero – 433 Violet Ave, Hyde Park: Abdallah Alghananim, 30, of Poughkeepsie, charged with unlawfully dealing with a minor, a Class A misdemeanor, and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Hyde Park Court on Sept. 13.
Shell – 4152 Route 9 Hyde Park: Alex Martinez, 17, of Poughkeepsie, charged with unlawfully dealing with a minor, a Class A misdemeanor, and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Hyde Park Court on Sept. 13.
Sunoco – 381 Route 9G, Poughkeepsie: Sai Rohit Ravipati, 24, of Poughkeepsie, charged with unlawfully dealing with a minor, a Class A misdemeanor, and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Hyde Park Court on Sept. 13.
K&D Deli – 848 Route 9G, Hyde Park: Elizabeth Slobodin, 17, of Hyde Park, charged with unlawfully dealing with a minor, a Class A misdemeanor, and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Hyde Park Court on Sept. 13.
