A joint investigation led by the state police child abuse unit resulted in the arrest of Timothy Antonucci of Newburgh. The child and Antonucci were known to each other, state police said on Saturday.
Antonucci was arrested Friday, then arraigned in the Town of Newburgh Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash or $50,000 property bond pending a future court appearance.
He has been charged with second-degree rape (a Class D felony), first-degree criminal sexual act (a Class B felony), second-degree criminal sexual act (a Class D felony) and endangering the welfare of a child (a Class A misdemeanor).
