Man Charged With Felony Drug Possession In Southeast Stop

SOUTHEAST, N. Y. -- A 24-year-old Pound Ridge man is facing felony drug charges after New York State Police stopped the car he was driving on Route 22 in Southeast for a loud exhaust on Thursday, March 3, police said.

Forrest T. Rainford has been charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor, and unlawful posession of marijuana, a violation.

During Thursday's traffic stop, troopers found marijuana, concentrated cannabis and cocaine, police said. He's being held in the Putnam County Jail on $10,000 bond, pending a 2:30 p.m. March 8 court date in Southeast.
