A 52-year-old Northern Westchester man allegedly used his employer's truck while enlisting the help of an unsuspecting co-worker to steal items from his ex-girlfriend's house in Putnam County, state police said.
State police received a complaint of a burglary on Vega Road in the Town of Patterson on Sept. 16.
A subsequent investigation found the suspect, Thomas R. Griffin of Ossining borrowed a truck from his employer and enlisted the help of the co-worker under the auspices of collecting belongings from his ex-girlfriend’s residence, police said.
State police from the Brewster barracks arrested Griffin for burglary of a dwelling in the second degree, a Class C felony, on Friday, Sept. 29.
Griffin was arraigned before the Town of Patterson Justice Court and released on his own recognizance and an Order of Protection was issued in favor of the victim.
