Danny Groissl, 24, and Joseph W. Braun, 26, both of Fowler Avenue, are accused of stealing numerous items during a series of burglaries at the home, police said.

Police began investigating the two men after receiving a complaint from a Carmel man that his parent's home had been burglarized. During the investigation, police discovered numerous items from the home at the Fowler Avenue residence where the suspects lived.

During the search of the suspects' home, police also discovered items linked to a separate burglary case under investigation by Carmel police.

Following the search, Groissl and Braun were arrested and charged with felony second-degree burglary. Both men were arraigned before Putnam Valley Town Justice Louis DiCarlo and committed to the Putnam County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond pending a future appearance.

Groissl was also the subject of an active bench warrant issued by Carmel Justice Court on charges of grand larceny.
