U.S. Marshals Apprehend Fugitive Wanted In Danbury Home Invasion

DANBURY, Conn. -- The U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force out of Bridgeport arrested a 36-year-old man Wednesday in connection with a home invasion in Danbury.

Rafael Serrano, 36, of Bridgeport was taken into custody around 7 a.m. The Danbury Police Department had a warrant out for Serrano as the result of an investigation of a home invasion from January on Beckett Street in Danbury, according to police. 

Police said Serrano and Francisco Jimenez, 39, of Danbury, broke into the house while the the mother was home with two children and dragged her upstairs prior to stealing money and jewelry. 

Both were charged with home invasion, second-degree burglary and third-degree larceny and held on a $100,000 bond. Jimenez was arrested in late April.
