Brewster Schools Launch Renovation Projects

BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Ground was ceremonially broken recently for the Brewster Central School District’s renovation program, according to a report by The Examiner News.

Targeted for improvements are John F. Kennedy Elementary School, C.V. Star Intermediate School and Brewster High School, The Examiner News reported: .

Projects covered by a $40 million bond referendum passed two years ago include roof repairs and security system upgrades, The Examiner News said.

Brewster High School’s locker and weight rooms will be updated and its cafeteria reorganized; C.V. Star Intermediate School will get four more classrooms, and John F. Kennedy will get six more classrooms, a new library and a cafeteria, The Examiner News reported.

All projects are expected to be completed by September 2017, The Examiner News said.

Attending the ceremony were Ryan Carper, Sarah Dirsa, Joseph A. Reilly, Susan Davidson and Russell A. Davidson, representatives of KG+D Architects, PC, a Mount Kisco-based firm; and school officials, Timothy Conway, former school superintendent; Schools Superintendent Valerie Henning-Piedmonte, and Victor J. Karlsson, school district director of business services.
