Kogler's resignation, effective immediately, was announced by Board President Denise Kness last week, citing personal reasons.

"We want to thank Mrs. Kogler for her years of service to the students, staff and community of the Lakeland Central School District," Kness said. "Since she first joined the board in 2006, Mrs. Kogler has devoted countless hours to the Board including six terms as president and two as the board vice president."

Kness said the board would review its options and discuss them at a future board meeting.
