The budget, which comes in at around $119.9 million, was approved by 1,052 votes to 471.

Meanwhile, former school board member Brian Mahoney, who resigned last fall in connection with his interest vying for the superintendent's post, will be returning. However, because Mahoney did not finish in fourth place, he will serve for a new, three-year term.

Board results show that Mahoney received the most votes, garnering 1,144, while Roger Bell and Daniel Hunter received 986 and 886.

Carolann Lacoparra, who finished fourth with 836 votes, will serve the remaining two years on Mahoney's former term.

Because there were four candidates running for four spots on the board, there were no contested elections.

Additionally, a ballot proposition to authorize up to $500,000 for buying buses and/or vans passed by 1,052 votes to 469.
