The incident began around 12:45 p.m. Saturday when a Putnam County Sheriff deputies responded to a 911 call in which the person reported a friend was "out of control" and was threatening to kill them, said Smith.
When deputy Robert Hudson arrived, he found woman acting erratically and "uttering threats to kill her neighbor," officials said.
Hudson took the woman into custody under the mental hygiene law and she was transported to Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel for a mental health evaluation, deputies added.
