Putnam Voters Overwhelmingly Approve School Budgets, Incumbents

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Putnam County voters overwhelming approved local school board budget along with returning incumbents school board members.

Here's a look at the results:

Brewster: Voters approved the proposed $95.4 million budget along with a proposition to spend $750,000 for new school buses. Incumbents Glen Niles and Kerry Cunningham retained their seats.

Carmel: Voters gave the okay to the proposed $123 million budget by a 942-648 margin. Voters also returned incumbent Tara DeTurris and elected new member James Reese.

Mahopac: Voters approved the $120.1 million proposed school's budget along with a proposal to purchase a new school bus.

Putnam Valley: Voters approved the proposed $48.5 million budget. Joseph Ferraro retained his school board seat.
