Walter Panas High Celebrates Class Of 2016

CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Walter Panas High School Class held its 44th annual Commencement on Saturday, June 25 at the Westchester County Center.

Valedictorian Clifford Soloway, Salutatorian Matthew Corrado, and Senior Class President Kate Salkowitz addressed the 216 seniors and their families and friends. 

The graduates were led into the County Center by standard-bearers Junior Class President Lauryn Aviles and Vice President Jason Russo. The Walter Panas High School Band performed "Pomp and Circumstance" as the graduates entered. 

Principal Keith Yi, Superintendent of Schools Dr. George Stone, and Board of Education President Carol Ann Dobson delivered greetings as well. Physics Teacher Jason Marrero offered the faculty commencement address. 

The Class of 2016 Choral Student Choir sang the National Anthem to open the commencement exercises. They also sang "The Circle Game."
