Brewster High School Standout Frannie Merkel Earns Scholastic Sports Award

BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Brewster High School's Frannie Merkel has received the Con Edison Westchester Scholastic Sports Award.

Merkel, a senior, is captain of both the basketball and volleyball teams at the high school.

She is averaging 15 points and 17 rebounds for the Bears, leading the Bears to a 13-3 record. 

She was named to the all-tournament team at the Ronnie Weaver Memorial Tournament at Carmel and at the Harrison Holiday Basketball Classic.
