Traffic Alert: Section Of Hudson Valley Roadway To Close For Bridge Work A section of a busy Hudson Valley roadway will be closed to replace two bridges. The Dutchess County Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced work to replace two bridges on the Salt Point Turnpike in the Town of Stanford is taking place this week. ID Released For Woman Who Died After Jumping From Bridge In Hudson Valley A woman who jumped to her death from a Hudson Valley bridge has been identified by police. Dutchess County resident Dawn Stackhouse, age 52, of Beekman, jumped from the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge in Rhinebeck, on Monday, April 1. According to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police, an investigation determined Stackhouse jumped from the bridge around 9:50 a.m. Good Samaritans fishing near the bridge removed her from the water and attempted life-saving measures, Hicks said. She was transported to a local area hospital where she was pronounced dead. This investigation remains ongoing.…

State Police Asking Public For Help Finding Hudson Valley Man The New York State Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing Hudson Valley man who hasn't been since Sunday, March 24. Nicolas Faust, age 43, formerly of Ulster County in Marlborough, and Westchester County in Peekskill, was reported missing by his family, said Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police. Faust was last seen by friends in the Mill Street area of Poughkeepsie on Sunday, March 24 around 2 a.m. He is described as being 5-foot-9, 175 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. CT Man Found Dead In Car In Walmart Parking Lot A 30-year-old man was found dead in a vehicle in the parking lot of a Connecticut Walmart. The incident occurred in New London County on Monday, April 1 at the Walmart at 155 Waterford Parkway North in Waterford. According to Chief Marc Balestracci, of the Waterford Police Department, the department responded after receiving 911 calls regarding the unresponsive man. Man Struck, Killed Walking In Travel Lanes On CT Roadway Connecticut State Police are asking for witnesses after a 53-year-old man was struck and killed while walking in the travel lanes of I-91. The crash occurred in North Haven around 9:15 p.m., Monday, April 1 on I-91 northbound adjacent to Exit 9. Connecticut State Police reported that Arthur Taylor, of New Haven, was walking in the travel lanes when a 2020 Ford Explorer struck him. Double Fatal Stabbing: Hudson Valley Men ID'd As Victims Two Hudson Valley men were found stabbed to death after police received a call for help. The incident occurred in Orange County on Monday, April 1 in the area of 33 Ruth Court in Middletown. According to Chief John Ewanciw of the Middletown Police, responding detectives found two men who had been stabbed multiple times.
