Mount Kisco Library Starting March With Lion Masks MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- To mark the turn of a month, and as a play on the expression "March comes in like a lion," the Mount Kisco Public Library announced that it will hold a workshop for kids to make their own lion masks. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, March 2 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is geared towards kids from kindergarten to second grade. North Salem HS Holding Elizabeth Butler Memorial Blood Drive NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- North Salem High School is holding the annual Elizabeth Butler Memorial Blood Drive next month. The blood drive is scheduled for Friday, March 24 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The high school, which shares its building with North Salem Middle School, is located at 230 June Road in North Salem. The blood drive is in memory of Elizabeth Butler, a local teenager who was raped and murdered by her boyfriend in 2005. A foundation, which was also set up in her memory, has held annual walk-a-thons and an event called Art Against Abuse, which promotes awareness of domestic violence.
