An 18-year-old Atlantic City resident was arrested on Tuesday, July 15 and charged with a murder that occurred last year, authorities said.
On Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, Atlantic City police responded to the 1500 block of Atlantic Avenue and located two men with gunshot wounds, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. They were shot at while standing in front of a Boost Mobile store, authorities said.
One of the victims, Jaiden Perez, a 19-year-old Atlantic City resident, succumbed to his injuries a month later. The other victim was treated and released, authorities said.

Two Atlantic City residents were arrested and charged on Wednesday, July 9, with fatally shooting a man, authorities said.
On Sunday, July 6 at 11:20 p.m., Atlantic City police responded to to 1400 N. Albany Avenue, on the overpass of Route 40 leading to Atlantic City High School and found Vaughn Lyons with multiple gunshot wounds, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
Lyons was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

A 24-year-old Mays Landing man was arrested and charged after he was operating an illegal ATV in Atlantic City, authorities announced Tuesday, July 8.
On Saturday, July 5 at 9:50 p.m., officers observed a group of ATV and dirt bike riders unlawfully driving on Pacific Avenue in an erratic manner, Atlantic City police said.

A 33-year-old Pleasantville man was arrested and charged after he was found to be in possession of heroin and cocaine in Atlantic City on Wednesday, June 4, authorities said.
